Intercomp Company (United States) – New for 2020, Intercomp has added Bluetooth® Technology to the indicator in all RFX™ Wireless Scale Systems. Live weight data is now securely transmitted from the indicator to the user’s Bluetooth®-enabled mobile device with the Intercomp iRaceWeigh™ app installed. The addition will be a standard feature for all scale systems produced after Jan. 1, 2020, but retail prices will remain the same as in 2019.
Wireless communication from scale pad to indicator will continue to rely on our encrypted, field-proven RFX™ Wireless Weighing™ technology. The Bluetooth® chip simply allows data sharing with one iOS or Android mobile device. The prevalence of Bluetooth® Technology in smartphones and tablets means any of these devices can easily become a second indicator.
Like RFX™ communication, only those with the proper digital credentials can access weight data from a mobile device. During the connection process, radio and encryption settings are required to access the data stream. This ensures only approved users, not the competition, can share corner weight information.
Part numbers for all scale systems that utilize an RFX™ Wireless Indicator as standard equipment have been updated. Top-selling examples include the SW777RFX™ Professional and SW650RFX™ Quik Weigh Scale Systems, in addition to all Microflex™ and RFX™ Wireless Precision Hub Plate Scale Systems.
