Fischer introduces Trafman weighing solution
Gerrit Fischer of Fisher Consulting

Fischer Consulting is here to introduce Trafman. Its primary function is static scale overload control, accurately measuring truck weights during stops to enforce regulations, mandate load reductions withisn limits, and issue overload fines. This ensures compliance, reduces road wear, and improves safety for all road users.

Building on this, the weigh-in-motion (WIM) technology measures truck weights as they pass, maintaining efficient traffic flow without delays. With over 95% accuracy, it delivers real-time data to regulators and operators, supporting smooth operations. Integration with weigh station bypass programmes allows eligible trucks to skip inspections, saving up to 10 minutes per stop. This reduces fuel consumption and enhances driver satisfaction, while enforcement officers can prioritise their resources.

In Africa, Trafman is deployed across multiple corridors from Ghana to South Africa, offering a proven solution to combat overload-related damage, boosting road safety and resilience. By preserving road integrity, it supports inter-African trade and regional development. Globally used, Trafman balances safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability for resilient transport corridors.

Fischer Consulting provides full turnkey construction and operation services, location planning consulting, or weigh station automation packaged as software as a service.
