तौल में घोटाला करने हेतु ,चार लोगो द्वारा बहालगढ़ की एक कंपनी में तैनात ऑपरेटर, श्री जोगिंदर सिंह को 5000 रुपये और एक सेलफोन का लालच देने का प्रयास किया गया। पुलिस रिकॉर्ड के अनुसार, उनके नाम अमित, महेश, राजीव और सतीश थे, उन्होंने भूमिका रोड लाइन से होने का दावा किया। उनकी पाम आयल की गाड़िया उस धर्मकांटे पर आने वाली थी जिनके वज़न में हेराफेरी करने के लिए उन्हें चिप लगनी थी। ऑपरेटर ने तुरंत अपने मैनेजर, संतोष जोशी को सूचना दी और उसे पैसे व सेल फोन सौंप दिया। जब रिश्वत देने वाले कांटे में चिप लगा कर वज़न कम करने की हेराफेरी करने लगे, तो वे रंगे हाथों पकड़े गए और मैनेजर ने पुलिस को सूचना दी। उनमे से एक व्यक्ति फरार होने में कामयाब हो गया लेकिन राय पुलिस ने अन्य तीन पर धोखाधड़ी के प्रयास का आरोप लगाया।
In an attempt to cheat, four people tried to bribe the operator, Mr Joginder Singh using Rs 5000 and a cellphone. According to the police record, their names were Amit, Mahesh, Rajiv and Sateesh, they claimed to be from the Bhoomika road line and had to get their vehicles which were loaded with palm oil, weighed at that station. They bribed with an attempt to tamper the weight of the vehicles by installing a chip in the weighbridge. The honest operator immediately reported to his manager and handed him the money and cell phone. When the bribers tried to tamper the machine with the help of the chip, they were caught red-handed and the manager informed the police. Even though one of them escaped, the Rai police charged the other three with an attempt to fraud.
