The L.S. Starrett Co. showcases quality control inspection technology including its HDV 250 Digital Comparator system, electronic height gages, a thread gaging line and the Digital Readout series for advanced gaging applications. Starrett is also featuring its full line of precision solutions from vision metrology systems and measuring tools to granite surface plate, laser, force measurement and custom gaging.
The Starrett HDV 250 Digital Comparator provides increased surface illumination and improved measurement capability via a high-resolution digital monitor, enabling better images via comparator technology in a compact, shopfloor-friendly design. Features of the HDV 250 include integrated LED ring light-based surface illumination for improved contrast and edge definition, a high-resolution digital video camera, micron-level accuracy and full digital documentation ability for statistical process control.
Other Starrett metrology solutions are also featured, such as the AVR 400 vision system — the company’s largest benchtop platform, well-suited for measuring a wide range of parts — the HDV 400 CNC digital comparator, which combines features of a horizontal comparator and a vision system, and the MMS 1000 force measurement system for determining load, distance, break applications and complex material testing.
Starrett also showcases its HG series of electronic height gages designed for intuitive and ergonomic operation, reliable measurement accuracy and increased productivity. A large touchscreen interface with clear icons and simple menu options is designed to be easy to learn and use, and speeds up inspection. Dual handles, an integrated air-bearing system and a dynamic thumbwheel provide effortless positioning and movement. Gages are offered in ranges of 0-14", 0-24" and 0-40" (0-350 mm, 0-600 mm and 0-1,000 mm).
The Starrett 3756 height gages display design with a large, easy-to-view backlit LED display along with a crank wheel for faster, reliable adjustment when measuring a number of different parts or features.
Starrett also highlights the 770 Electronic Internal Micrometer series and 781 Accubore Electronic Pistol Grip series product line expansion, providing advanced, easy-to-use gaging for fast, accurate thread measurement. The series offers an ergonomic and highly repeatable non-destructive way to measure thread pitch diameters, with instant measurement feedback and actual size readings that eliminate multiple trial cuts of threads. Interchangeable gage heads are furnished for measuring different thread and bore sizes, further improving inspection time savings.
The Starrett Gx Electronic Digital Readout series for advanced gaging applications performs single or multipoint gage measurements at high levels of accuracy, utilizing formulas to define and display dimensions based on channel inputs. Multiple data views and data entry mechanisms enable flexibility and fast setup. A wide range of probe types and connectivity options are supported with the Gx Series, and programming is designed to be intuitive and easy.
Rounding out the precision solutions featured in the Starrett booth are a Starrett Tru-Stone granite metrology base, the No. W4900 Wireless Digital Indicators, micrometers, calipers, bore gages, a Starrett Bytewise Profile360 Blue Laser Measurement system and custom gages.
